Getting Started
Make sure all of your settings are in order before trying to generate comments.
When you login for the first time, you should be prompted to go through a quick tutorial (4 steps) where you are asked about your marking periods so that your comments are customized properly for your needs. If you cancel out of this tutorial or enter the wrong information, don’t worry. You can always update these settings later by clicking the ‘Go To…’ dropdown and selecting ‘SETTINGS’.

Tutorial and Marking Period Settings Explained

Edit the name for your marking periods. This wording is used frequently throughout the comments.
Select the total number of marking periods that you will write comments for. Typically, if you have 9-weeks or quarter, you would select four, but if you include progress report comments, you may want to consider using 8 as your total. Once, you've selected how many times you will be writing comments, select the marking period you are currently in. For example, if this is your first marking period of the year select 1. The comment generator will automatically change the language of comments for the first and last marking periods of the year. If you don't ever wish for the comments to do this, you could always select any marking period in the middle and leave it for the entire year.
You have finished setting up your comment settings at this point. If you are ready, you can add your first student by selecting Yes if you're on the tutorial. You can always add new students and comments later by selecting the icon.
